Hansel and Gretel

About the Show

A stage version of Hansel and Gretel with comedy, music and a final choice for the audience.

Hansel and Gretel head into the forest to collect firewood and soon realise they have taken the wrong path. Lost and hungry, they come across a cottage made from sweets, candies and gingerbread.

The house looks like good luck until they meet its owner, the Candy Witch. Hansel ends up locked in a cage, leaving Gretel to work out how to help her brother.

Their worried stepmother eventually finds them, and the family joins forces to outsmart the Witch. The ending adds an interactive twist: when the Candy Witch promises to change, the children in the audience help decide whether she deserves another chance.

Music, dancing, comedy and direct audience participation keep the familiar fairy tale moving in a short format for family events.
